The Zyto Scan is Here!
I am very excited to announce that we are introducing a new technology in our office that I feel can profoundly impact your health.
The Zyto scan is a completely non-invasive technology that provides immediate information about the biocommunication of the cells in your body. Your cells are constantly adjusting to changing conditions to stay healthy and your body uses these communication pathways to direct available resources to keep in balance. Most of the time you are not even aware of this ongoing process.
When your body encounters a health challenge, you may have a symptom(s). Symptoms are the bodies outward expression of its best efforts to address this challenge. You may experience symptoms such as fever, pain, fatigue or other signs of inflammation. Too often you wait until you have one or more of these symptoms to take action to assist your body in reducing inflammation and regaining equilibrium.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could support your bodies day to day efforts to remain healthy? Now you can! The Zyto scan affords us the opportunity to ask questions of your body using galvanic skin response (GSR) of your hand by holding it on a hand cradle. The information gathered provides a baseline that is unique to you. Then we can ask questions about what areas in your body are experiencing the greatest areas of disharmony regarding food, body organs, meridians, teeth, vertebra and other body systems. Very importantly, we can then ask the body what nutritional supplements will help to take systems that are out of balance and help restore them to balance!

Sugar and Breast Cancer: A Deadly Connection
New study shows cancer risk rises as more sugar is consumed
Saying that eating sugar is not good for you is hardly front page news, but just how bad is it? In the January 2016 edition of the journal Cancer Research, a report directly linked the consumption of sucrose (table sugar), in amounts typical of Western diets, to increased tumor growth and metastasis, when compared with a non-sugar starch diet. Very importantly, the research found that fructose (fruit sugar) derived from the sucrose was responsible for lung cancer spreading to other organs, as well as the production of breast cancer. Seven Herbs That Should Be in Your Diet
For me as a natural doctor, I know there is no greater place to look for healing potential than to the herbal kingdom. In this article I will briefly present seven common herbs and their healing benefits. Start using them—not only because they make food more flavorful but because of their healing potential!
- Contains a variety of oils such as eugenol, citronellol, limonene, and terpineol,
which all have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
- Rich in beta-carotene, vitamin A, lutein, cryptoxanthin, and zeaxanthin, which help fight free radicals that cause aging and degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and eye disease.
- Good source of minerals including copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, and potassium, which help regulate heart rate and blood pressure and support healthy blood cells.

Life Without Breakfast … A Recipe for Disaster
I always ask my patients to give me a detailed description of not only what they eat but also when they eat it. It’s striking to me that far too often people eat very poorly at breakfast or don’t eat breakfast altogether.
Neither of these situations is ideal for your body or your brain, which both require to be fed on a regular basis. The average person eats dinner between 6 and 7 pm and goes to bed without a snack. They wake up between 7 and 8 am. This represents a twelve-hour period without food, which is great if you are going to take a fasting blood test to determine cholesterol and blood sugar levels. The Alarming Case of Antibiotic Resistance
A new research report recently released indicates that pathogenic bacteria may be winning the war against antibiotics. The report issued by the Center for Disease Dynamics & Policy entitled “State of the World’s Antibiotics” identifies some serious concerns regarding global antibiotic use and the worsening state of antibiotic resistance worldwide.
Our antibiotics are becoming less and less effective against increasingly potent “superbugs,” and the report challenges the long-held belief that the biggest obstacle is a lack of new and more powerful antibiotics. Instead, the report focuses attention on the overuse of antibiotics in humans and livestock, which is at the heart of the problem of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Emulsifiers Linked to Obesity & Bowel Disorders
The stuff that makes ice cream and mayonnaise creamy is harmful to your intestines
Artificial preservatives used in the preparation of packaged foods have been identified as increasing the risk of inflammatory bowel disorders and metabolic disorders such as obesity. A study published in the February 25 edition of the journal Nature found that emulsifiers altered the makeup of intestinal bacteria in mice.
There are about 15 emulsifiers typically used in Western foods. They keep foods such as mayonnaise and ice cream consistent. In fact, many foods would not exist as we know them today without emulsifiers to help hold them together into a creamy consistency, which the human pallet finds attractive.
